Cantwell Flag down FCC Approval of Seattle Petition

S’s Federal Communications Commission's conditional approval for deployment of interoperable, wireless broadband network got passed and created a stir of happiness.

There will be a wireless network establishment in coordination between FCC's Emergency Response Interoperability Center (ERIC) and wireless broadband providers. It will make sure all the networks that are part of the coordination will be nationally compatible and fully interoperable. The network will operate in 700 MHz public safety broadband spectrum and power advanced 4-G networks under development by commercial providers.

This move will make Seattle a safe country by enabling those in public safety to use broadband communications for protecting life, health and property of residents. Without interoperability emergency responses become difficult and hence the government has planned to use dedicated federal resources to build up a nationwide broadband network. This will help them in sharing time sensitive information and also meet the technical requirements. The approval of the plan was not easy for the Seattle government as all the required guidelines and technicalities were to be met as per Public Safety Spectrum Trust (PSST). It holds the national license for the public safety broadband spectrum.

This is the first step taken towards providing regional broadband public safety network. Once Seattle executes it completely other places like King, Pierce, Snohomish County will also follow it. Also continuous research and development process will be carried out for constant improvement.

BT broadband Packages on offers. BT total broadband offers complete broadband solutions with 20 Mb download speed, BT home hub and Free Wi-Fi.

Once national technical standards are established, the Seattle public safety network can be built out over a few years. Seattle intends to work with other communities in King, Pierce, Snohomish County in the planning and designing of the public safety network. There is interest in extending the Seattle network, once built, to additional communities in order to develop a regional broadband public safety network.
